My Coding Journey|

B.C.

Before Coding

Lifelong musician with a sharp sense for patterns and creativity. Spent years as a full-time bartender and cook, where I learned to solve problems quickly, stay calm under pressure, and communicate with a wide range of personalities — from teammates to total strangers. Those experiences taught me to listen well, think on my feet, and bring out the best in a team.

Started Learning to Code

After years of searching for a path that would blend creativity with problem-solving, I found myself inspired by my brother-in-law — a Data Analyst — and the way he talked about building things with code in his free time. I dipped my toes into JavaScript and was instantly hooked. What started as curiosity quickly became obsession. I threw myself into learning web development through tutorials, documentation, and hands-on projects — and haven’t looked back.

Freelance Web Developer

I started working with local artists, farmers, and musicians to bring their visions to life online. Along the way, I learned how to plan out projects clearly, communicate timelines, and keep clients involved every step of the way. Whether it was helping a farmer sell merch or creating an event site for a musician, I found joy in making sure the final product felt like theirs — something they were genuinely proud to share.

Portfolio Projects & Growth

Built ScrapChef and JobQuest (and more on my GitHub), deepening my backend skills with Python and exploring what it means to build truly useful tools. I’ve developed a strong curiosity for how things work under the hood — from the history of programming languages to the “why” behind design patterns. Lately, machine learning has captured my full attention, and I’m actively working toward a future where I specialize in AI integration to build smarter, more intuitive products.

What I Bring to your Team|

> Communication & Collaboration:

Years of guest-facing roles taught me how to listen deeply, communicate clearly, and build trust. Whether I’m collaborating with my team or end users, I keep things smooth, direct, and human.

> Creative Vision:

As someone with an eye for layout, typography, and color, I naturally gravitate toward clean, intuitive, and aesthetically pleasing design. I care about how things feel just as much as how they function.

> Data-Driven Imagination:

I love using data as a springboard for ideas — whether that’s shaping user experiences, surfacing insights, or enhancing app functionality with machine learning. I’m always thinking of creative ways to make data useful and engaging.

Grow & Contribute|

I’m looking for a role where I can do meaningful work, keep learning, and build cool things with great people. I bring both creativity and technical curiosity to every project, and I love being part of a team that supports and challenges each other. Whether you’re working on something brand new or improving what’s already there, I’d love to help make it even better.
